Web design and development

Websites that keep working when the office is closed.

I build websites that open in an instant, lead clearly to a call or enquiry and look sharp on every screen. Copy, design, SEO foundations and enquiry tracking come in the same package.

What a good website does for your business

Your website is often the first place a customer gets to know you, after your Google profile, an ad or a referral. Within a few seconds they decide whether you look trustworthy and whether you are easy to contact. A slow site, or one that falls apart on a phone, costs you customers every day, even when the work you do is excellent.

That is why I build every site around one goal: that a visitor quickly understands what you offer and calls or sends an enquiry. I write copy that answers your customers' real questions, design around your brand and set up SEO foundations before the site goes live.

You get the finished site with simple editing and a short guide, so you can change text and images yourself. If you have an existing site, I redesign it so the rankings you earned on Google stay intact.

Who a new website is for

  • trades and service businesses that need more enquiries
  • businesses with an old, slow or non mobile friendly site
  • apartments, restaurants and tourism businesses, in Croatian and English
  • new businesses starting from scratch
  • businesses launching ads that need a strong landing page

My approach

Three things that make a good website.

Design, copy and ease of editing together decide whether a visitor becomes a customer.

  1. 01

    Design that fits your brand

Every site gets a look tailored to your business, your colours and the way you talk to your customers, with no off the shelf templates.

  2. 02

    Copy that sells

Copy carries the same weight as design, so I write words that answer customers' real questions and calmly guide them to get in touch.

  3. 03

    Handover and editing

I hand over the finished site with a simple interface where you edit text and images yourself, plus a short starter guide and support when you need it.

Everything a site needs, from day one.

Six foundations I set up before the site even goes live.

  • Responsive design

The site looks right on phones, tablets and computers, and most of your visitors come from a phone.

  • SEO foundations from day one

Titles, meta descriptions, structured data and internal links are in place before the site goes live.

  • Speed as a priority

Optimized images and clean code, so the site opens instantly and passes Core Web Vitals without issues.

  • Analytics and enquiry tracking

Google Analytics and Search Console set up from day one, with call and form tracking, so you know who comes and from where.

  • Security and SSL

HTTPS, regular backups and spam protection on forms keep both your data and your customers' data safe.

  • Redesign without losing rankings

When redesigning an existing site I keep the URLs, content and earned SEO authority, with redirects where needed.

From the first conversation to a live site.

A build usually takes three to six weeks, depending on scope and how much content is ready.

  1. Conversation and plan

We talk about your business, customers and the goal of the site, and I suggest a structure, a page list and a timeline.

  2. Design and copy

I write the copy and put together the design, and you review it and send changes. I need your logo, photos if you have them and some information about your services.

  3. Launch and handover

I put the site live, connect analytics and enquiry tracking, and hand it over with an editing guide.

I was sceptical at first, but after the first 90 days I noticed more enquiries and more calls. Since then it has only got better and I have more work than ever.

NoelCar mechanic, Rijeka

I had no idea about ranking on Google. I felt the difference in the second week, and now I am number one in my city.

Tea MikulićSalon owner, Split

For years I paid for ads and always worried whether there would be work next month. Since we reached the top of Google that worry is gone, customers come on their own.

Damir ŠimićPlumber, Rijeka

I knew how much Google is worth for new clients, but I had neither the time nor the know-how. Matija did it all for me and the results show, I no longer rely only on referrals.

KristinaPhysiotherapist, Zagreb

I can't believe how fast it went. In two months we jumped from 31st to 2nd place, the phone keeps ringing and I had to hire a new worker.

Questions before we start.

If your question is not here, ask me directly on a free call.

How long does it take to build a site?

Depending on scope, usually three to six weeks from the moment we agree on the content to the day the site goes live.

Can I edit the site myself after handover?

Yes. I hand over the site with a simple interface and a short guide, so you change text and images yourself without technical knowledge.

Do you write the copy too?

Yes, copywriting is included, so you do not have to work out what goes on every page. I write it so both customers and Google understand it.

What happens to my current site?

If your site already ranks on Google, I redesign it so URLs, content and earned authority are kept, with redirects wherever URLs change.

Do you handle the domain, hosting and maintenance?

I help with the domain and hosting or put the site on your existing setup. Maintenance, updates and backups can be taken on as a separate monthly service.

Can the site be multilingual?

Yes. I often build tourism and export sites in Croatian and English, with language tags set up correctly so Google shows each visitor the right version.

Do you build websites in WordPress?

Yes. WordPress is a good choice when you want to edit the content yourself or plan to add an online store. I suggest the platform after we talk, based on what the site needs to do and who will maintain it.

Can you redesign an existing website?

Yes. If the current site is slow or unclear, I rebuild it with new copy, SEO foundations and enquiry tracking, and keep the addresses that already bring visitors.
